Our Purpose is to bring a range of quality musical events for the community to enjoy at an affordable price
Music provides a wonderful opportunity to meet with others and appreciate the beauty and variety of the presentation, whilst contributing positive health benefits.
These include developing new friendships, addressing health issues, building communities, encouraging inclusivity, and addressing the issue of social isolation.
The Barwon Heads Fine Music Society caters for all groups of people – those who like to listen to classical, jazz, modern, those who like to sing, and those who just love music.
Various artists ranging from jazz, trios, quartets, piano recitals and singing groups perform each month and at major events.
Annual membership fees are $25 – $40 for a couple/family which gives you discounted rates to all BHFMS concerts – the monthly second Sunday afternoon concert and an larger events.
Our Sunday Concerts continue on the second Sunday of each month , 2.30pm in the Anglican Church , Friends $10 , visitors $15 – stay for Afternoon tea after the concert We also hold other Major events which are held in the Barwon Heads Community Hall Beginnings
The Barwon Heads Fine Music Society Inc. was formed about 15 years ago by local music lovers. Performances began in private homes, and as the interest increased with more local support, the concerts became monthly and All Saints Anglican Church became our home base.
Larger events are now held in the Barwon Heads Community Hall or 13th Beach Golf Club
